JUL/21 In Fukuoka--Final day of the Festival

Today was the final day of the Fukuoka Short Shorts Film Festival.

There were deficiency in notification, and facilities, which must have caused trouble to the audience, but will be improved in the future.

The popular programs from the top:
-Academy Short Shorts
-Program A
-Program C
The Maestro Short Shorts were also enjoyed by many.

We got to hear many opinions from people which will be considered next year.
Thank you very very much.

JUL/20 In Hakodate---The last day.

And came the final day... It was only for three days, but many of the audiences repeatedly came to the screenings. All the staff and the volunteers were deeply touched to see audiences' return. Many people were checking the program contents before each of the screenings, and filled the questionnaires after the screenings.

Since this was our first Short Shorts Film Festival in Hakodate, there are many things we must reflect to... But we're also inspired by the greatful comments in the questionnaires such as, "Can't wait for the next festival!" and "This is the kind of film festival we were waiting for!!"

We thank everybody who came to Hakodate Short Shorts Film Festival, supporters, and everyone who was involved in the making if this event a successful one!!

JUL/19 In Hakodate

At Hakodate, we had Short Shorts Cafe in the same building as the Friday Night Club, the screening hall. Many people visted this cafe between the programs.

The most popular item was curry rice.

It seems that many people came to the screenings alone, and came back for the other programs.

JUN/27 In Nagoya---The FINAL day!!

The final day had come al last. One week seem to be long, but this one went by really quick! The final program of this final day was filled with audience showing no open seats.

We look forward to seeing you all next year at the Century Cinema again!!

JUN/26 In Nagoya---Busy busy busy...

There were one major difference about Nagoya Festival from all the rest of the tours. The Cntury Cinema we used for the hall actually is a movie theater. So from June 28th, a day after this festival, there will be new movie ("Blue Crash") coming to the theater.

All the staff had to operate for SSFF, and at the same time get ready for the evacuation and arrage for next week.

JUN/25 In Nagoya---Director Kakehi's visit

Today was the last day of the Fukuoka's original program, "MOUNT POSITION", late shows for four days.

The very last of this program, we screened "Bijyokan", a film that won a grand prize of the off theater section at the Yubari International Film Festival. Director Kakehi came for the talk show, and he even accepted the autograph and photograph session after the screening.

JUN/23 In Nagoya---Hungry?

Let us introduce the Cafe in Century Cinema. There are sandwiches, hamburgers, coffee, beer, soft drinks, and more at this cafe! The most popular combination is chikin cutlet burger, and mango juice.

Everything here can be taken into the theater, so please visit this cafe!

JUN/22 In Matsumoto---We locals definitely support SSFF!

Piccadilly Hall is located on Agetsuchi Street in Matsumoto. Agetsuchi has many buildings remaining from the early 20th century, which gives this area a good atmosphere. With their help, we set up retrospective open-air stalls.

It comes from the idea that it's necessary to enjoy a movie with food and drinks. The stalls had bottled drinks and popped rice, which reminded people of the Japan of their childhood, just like the nostalgic atmosphere of the town.
The loud popping sound that comes when popping rice was especially popular among customers.
On the last day, there was "Japan Short Shorts". It could be the reason why more customers attended on the last day than on the first days.

Many customers mentioned that they were looking forward to seeing short films in the dear old theater. It was such a pleasure for us to be of service to you!

JUN/21 In Matsumoto---Laughter also rises.

After the typhoon, which is a rite of summer in Japan, it turned into fine summer weather. Thank you very much for your patronage! The films were more interesting than ever, and the concept of using the old theater "Piccadilly Hall" for showing new movies had more far-reaching appeal than we had ever imagined.

This year in the Short Short Film Festival in Matsumoto, we had a special
discussion session with the director of the blockbuster movie "Returner," Takashi Yamazaki, and Tsutomu Mizushima, whose latest cartoon movie "Crayon Shin Chan" is tremendously popular. Shin Chan is the most famous preschool boy in Japan. They talked about the that they made a movie together when they were high school kids. Better than a discussion session, it was like joining the conversation of these two friends.

Thanks a lot for this great show!

JUN/20 In Osaka---Learning more

Friday night, the hall was almost full. Everyone was trying for the best possible service. The 'festivalish energy' filled the air as time passed. Good tension grew among the staff, as more flow of audience started to come in. Everyone must have began to feel the delight of showing films.

There were only two more days left of the festival, but we strived till the end!.

JUN/19 In Osaka---Fighting against Typhoon

At last, we finished setting up the projector we were working from the morning. Then, we waited for opening...in the bad weather. Weathercast announced the coming typhoon...all the staff was worried about that. But even under that circumstance everyone felt the good tension and the anticipation.

It reminded of the very first time we started this event.
The festival goes on for four days to come to the successful closing!!

JUN/18 In Osaka---Reception Party

Osaka Short Shorts Film Festival's reception party started off with audience supporting the movie association. We thank all of our friends who gathered for this special day.

Osaka Festival, which starts from tomorrow for four days, is handmade with the volunteers and the staff.

From joy to watch...to joy to show...
