Taika Waititi is of Te Whanau-A-Apanui descent. Taika has been involved in the film industry for several years, initially as an actor, and he is now focusing on developing his skills as a writer and director. He recently founded Defender Films, with Ainsley Gardiner, who has just been commissioned to write a comic play based on the legends of Maui for the International Arts Festival in 2004.

Paul Daley worked as a graphic designer before studying illustration and stop-motion animation at the University of Westminster. Currently enrolled in the animation course at the National Film and Television School in the UK, Paul has collaborated on multiple films. His study of computer animation has afforded him unlimited control over his character's personalities. While continuing to sharpen his animation skills, Paul's main interest lies in telling stories.

"Save The Children," his short film debut, is part of the feature length film UTOPIA-NOBODY IS PERFECT IN THE PERFECT COUNTRY. UTOPIA features eight shorts, each inspired by a different Norwegian political party.

Harvey is currently directing his first feature film THE LAST NEW YORKER, as well as a series of short documentaries.

Jouni Hokkanen was born in 1964. He works as a critic, journalist and documentary filmmaker specializing in Asian cinema. He is a programmer for Helsinki International Film Festival - Love and Anarchy.

Aimee Lagos and Kristin C. Dehnert come from diverse filmmaking backgrounds. Kristin has worked as a location manager with critically acclaimed feature directors. Aimee has directed theater and worked as a script supervisor, production coordinator, and production associate on major Hollywood and independent feature films. Based in Los Angeles, the two first-time directors formed the company Smash Cut Films and launched into full production on "Underground" within a couple months of completing the script.

He has directed several short films on video and 35 mm, inlcuding "Txotx," co-directed by Telmo Esnal, which participated in many festivals and was awarded several prizes. He is currently working as a television screenwriter.

Chase Palmer's first short film "Neo-Noir" debuted at the Austin Film Festival, where it won the Short Jury Award. Last December the film opened for Lions Gate Films' THE COOLER at pre-release screenings in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Miami and Chicago. The film has been distributed to HBO Latin America, Sundance Channel and Universal Studios Networks, Italy. Chase's first feature script BURIED ABOVE GROUND-inspired by the short-has won numerous screenwriting awards. Chase most recently shot his second short, "Shock and Awe" for Fox Searchlight's Searchlab program. He lives in New York City.

He has worked as a writer, producer's assistant, associate producer, and workshop leader. In addition to developing projects to write and direct for his own company, Berkeley Films, he is a director with Spy Films.

"Cane-Toad" was made by two Australian animators, David Clayton and Andrew Silke, in 2002. David currently works at Weta Digital in New Zealand where he was an animator on the third installment of THE LORD OF THE RINGS trilogy and is currently working on KING KONG. After contributing to films and games as a 3D artist, Andrew joined Animal Logic in Sydney to work on Australia's first fully computer animated feature film.
