Latin whirlwind! The Brazilian Program

This year has been designated the Japan-Brazil Exchange Year in celebration of the 100th anniversary of Japanese immigration to Brazil. To commemorate the occasion, the Film Festival will be featuring Brazilian films which have been creating a Latin whirlwind in the recent film industry. We will be showing two excellent documentary short films by the master filmmaker, Water Salles, as well as some of the hottest Brazilian short films specially selected from the two representative film festivals of Brazil, the San Paulo International Short Film Festival and the Rio de Janeiro International Short Film Festival.
