Short Shorts Film Festival’s 10th Anniversary.
The 1st Online Compatition departure turns towards the 21st century.
The Short Short Film Festival welcomes its tenth anniversary in 2008 by starting its first Online Competition.
Through the spread of new challenges, such as the creation of movies and images that can be seen on the personal computer regardless of time or location, internet users want to broaden the film world extensively. With this in mind, the MSN Video Award site (http://msnva.jp/) was established with the cooperation of Microsoft's online support division, which also operates the internet portal site MSN® and Web Platform Windows Live.
MSN's editorial department decides the top five winners from users' votes by selecting from three works of excellent quality and 12 masterworks previously screened in the Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia (under 5 minutes).
Three judges, including an official film festival judge, Miss Maki Horikita and an upcoming talented filmmaker, Mr. Hiroyuki Nakao, will decide the winning piece for the MSN Video Award, and a monetary prize and a prize for runner up will be presented at the award ceremony on June 15. (600,000 yen, an Xbox 360, and Microsoft's Expression Studio will be presented) Check the website after June 15 to see the award results!!
