Internet suicides are rampant. Akane has lost ties with her family and now lives all alone, frightened and depressed in a small flat. Now virtually a shut in, she turns to a suicide chat site and encounters a man who asks her to commit suicide together.

Wan leaves the bar and staggers drunkenly to her car at 2AM. The city is asleep and the night is quiet. She drops her friend off and heads home alone. But her Mini Cooper breaks down on the highway. A homeless man appears out of the dark. At 2AM, he's the last person she wants to meet.
