Japanese Premier Issue
My film is never shown at the festivals, but it is shown on the website. Will this still be considered as Japan Premiere film?
Films that have screened on the internet still will be considered Japanese Premieres, unless they have appeared on a Japanese-language site or a site based in Japan. But we don't accept a film which is seen on a Japanese website even if it's originally on non-Japanese website.
*Note: Please make sure that your film is not posted on any website without your permission.
Do you charge the entry fee?
No we don't charge any entry fee. But a filmmaker needs to cover the shipping cost of a DVD screener to our office. Also, if your film is selected, you will need to cover the shipping cost of the materials we need.
When will you announce the selections?
Selected films will be announced by March 2010.
At that time, all filmmakers will be notified via e-mail as to whether their films have been selected.
What is the screening format for the selected film?
We accept Digital-Beta、DV-Cam、Mini-DV for the festival screening. As for the submission preview, please send the film on DVD(NTSC/PAL).
Do you have any regulation about film genre?
We accept all genres including live-action, animation, documentary except music clip. But please notify us If your film is supported by any specific company or school, produced for promotional purpose (CM) or as scholarship film.
