SHORT SHORTS FILM FESTIVAL & ASIA 2015

We were truly blessed to have Ian Hunter (The Dark Knight, Inception, Interstellar) for the Hollywood VFX Seminar today. He had come prepared with an amazing visual presentation covering highlights, of which there are many, from his long & celebrated career in creating special effects.

It is really impossible to relay to you all the detail into which he went to explain his techniques & innovations to enhance & fulfill the directors’ visions. There were some very revealing & interesting details that even non-professionals could appreciate such the lengths to which he & his team would go to align the sunlight’s shadows & brightness when matching live shots within scenes using the models he had created.

It also became clearly obvious that he has a close relationship with director Christopher Nolan &is entrusted to help create many of the stunning shots in his recent films from “The Dark Knight” all the way through “Interstellar” for which Ian was given the Academy Award this year for Best Achievement in Visual Effects.

A tremendously entertaining & interesting speaker & absolutely one of the nicest guests we’ve been honored to have participate in our festival.
