[Report] June 12th @ iTSCOM STUDIO &HALL Futakotamagawa RISE!
2015-06-12

Our new place of SSFF&AISA 2015 finally opened today here in iTSCOM STUDIO & HALL!

We had 3 special guests:

Mr. Jossie Malis, the director of “ Bendito Machine V – Pull the Trigger” in “War and the Power To Live Program”

Ms. Sorcha Anglim and Mr. Jack Tew, directing “Me & You” in “Focus on UK”.

We first interviewed Mr. Jossie, who presented a film about the visitor from the outer space who got involved in wars through the human history, and witnesses the violence and problems on the earth.

The theme of the film is not just about wars, but also small conflicts between humans, said Mr, Jossie, and told us how he got a fund of the film through crowd funding, which has been more popular in film making.

Some audience even asked him questions in Spanish since he is from Spain, which made him smile!

Our second guests were Ms. Sorcha Anglim and Mr. Jack Tew from the UK.

Their film “ You & Me” is shot from the fixed point camera from the above, which is unique approach to clearly show the emotions and relationship of 2 main characters of the young couple.

One of the audiences asked how they planned the plot, Mr. Jack thought for a moment saying “Hmm…It’s a good question!” then answered “We both talked about our past relationship over and over for quite a long time. Though we only had 2days for shooting, it went pretty smooth and were able to emphasize what we wanted to show through their relationship.”

Both directors were so cheerful and friendly,  that the questions & answer section was active!

Our final guest, Mr. Kristof Sagna in “French Film Festival – Short Film Selection” with the film “SAVAGE NIGHT” poped in,  and told us about the essence of his film in JAPANESE! (Apparently he studied Japanese for 2 years and even LIVES in Japan!)

Now we have 2 more days left so please come and join us with great short films from all over the world!
