[Report] June 13th @ iTSCOM STUDIO &HALL Futakotamagawa RISE!
2015-06-13

It was the second day of the screening at  iTSCOM STUDIO &HALL which was filled with mixed emotions and excitement with all the different types of short films.

We kicked off today with Children Program supported by Clermont- Ferrand International Short Film Festival; many of the audiences were families with little babies on baby carriages.

We had an interview with our guest Mr. Bertrand Rouchit from Clermont- Ferrand International Short Film Festival, before the screening started.

With a question “What is Clermont- Ferrand International Short Film Festival anyway? How big is the festival?” he answered “it is one of the biggest short film festivals in the world, we have a huge number of audiences coming to our town not only from France but also from overseas in every February when we hold the festival”.

Apparently, the population of the city Clermont- Ferrand increases twofold when the festival starts every year! They even have children-tours just to go to the fest which is quite surprising to me regarding how massive the festival is though it’s not yet famous here in Japan.

Mr. Bertrand added that the animation is popular in early education to make children have free thinking and creativity as they grow up in France. He also grew up watching Japanese anime and cartoons when he was a little kid. It was nice to know that the animation is definitely one of the essential pop cultures both in Japan and France !

Now we have one more day to go! We’d be more than happy to make you experience “Cinematic Moment” with us here in iTSCOM STUDIO! :)
