SHORT SHORTS FILM FESTIVAL & ASIA 2015

For the 3rd & penultimate program of the day & festival, Keiran Watson-Bonnice came out from Australia to talk about his wonderful short “Caravan” about 2 young boys hanging out in a caravan sitting on some property doing what little kids do; exploring inside going through drawers & opening cabinets & well, just playing while a white horse grazes outside & a man is laying prone on the bed inside. Keiran told the audience that the 3 year old boy in the film is his own son Theo & he got the idea to make this short when he filmed his son inside the caravan which is actually his that he keeps on his own property. There’s an almost mystical quality to Theo & he makes the short much much more than just a film about 2 kids playing.
