Dennis longs to be reunited with his father. Dennis and his older brother Johnny share a magical creature known as the "Shadow Animal" who is also Dennis’ closest friend. When Dennis learns that the rival gang is planning to execute his brother, he and the Shadow Animal find themselves embroiled in a gang war. Should he continue looking for his missing father or try to protect his brother?

Dorte Bengtson was born in 1971 and graduated from The National Film School of Denmark in 2008. She has worked in the film industry for over 20 years and was director and scriptwriter for The Shadow Animal in 2013.
