The Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia Autumn screening started today at the Tokyo Photographic Art Museum in Ebisu. This is a collaboration event with the Tokyo International Film Festival and it takes place every October with support from the Tokyo Metropolitan Government.

The first day started with the BRANDED EVENT. Takuma Takasaki (Executive Creative Director, Dentsu Inc. ) and Yuji Ishida (Film Producer) talked about the ideal form of films and advertisements, and the possibilities of BRANDED SHORTS. Despite the bad weather, many came to the event and listened to their talk intently.

After the event, two short film programs were screened. One program consists of the award winning films from SSFF & ASIA 2018 which was held in June, and the other is a selection of great short films from SSFF & ASIA’s past editions. “Family Happiness” starring Ben Whishaw, also had its Japan Premiere in the same program.

The event will continue until the 8th in Ebisu (and Toranomon from the 9th to the 12th) so please stop by the venue and enjoy the short films!
