Ceer Song Jong Seo Kin / HIGH
Jong Seo Kim is a rock singer with a distinct style who debuted in the 1980s in the Korean heavy metal band Shinawi. One of his hit songs, released last year, was "High." It contains a message to "let's fly high, fly to a place we've never been." We felt that this song, with its central theme of "traveling," was appropriate to convey hope for the recovery and future of the people who are suffering from the disaster of the Great Eastern Japan Earthquake. We felt that his song would give those people strength and energy and were very fortunate to be able to use his song.
Jong Seo Kim
Jogn Seo was born in 1965. He debuted in 1987 as the lead vocal of the heavy metal band Sinawe. He started singing as a solo artist in 1992 and received the Golden Disk Award “Record of the Year” 3 years in a row. He released “Star Story” in 2009 which shows his interest in the environmental movement. Now he is a member of a band called REI. He is also an honorary Ambassador of Seoul since 2009. |
