FINAS(National Film Development Corporation Malaysia) has supported Short Shorts Film Festival in Malaysia in the past three years, and this year organizers(Yasu and Bae Tanaka of 42nd Pictures) collaborated with Limkokwing Univesity of Creative Technology to host the event in Putrajaya, Malaysia for two days.
The guests to the festival were welcomed by a number of international students wearing their own national dresses. I heard approximately 80 % of students at Limkokwing Univesity is international students asnd have branches all over the world, including Botswanam London, Cambodia, China, India etc.

This time, Jochen Alexander Freydank, the director of 81st Academy Awards(R) winning live action short,"Toyland", which also won the audience awatd at SSFF & ASIA, is participating in the event. He said he's in between the production of two feature films back in Germany.

For this superb festival in Malaysia, 25 short films were specially selected from SSFF & ASIA 2013 including award winning films. The audiences indeed enjoyed the wide range of countries selections; South Korea, Vietnam, Germany, Switzerland, Brazil, Ireland… and of course Japan.

Besides film screening, various events were held at the festival. The scriptwriting lecture by Yasuyuki Tanaka ( http://www.pacvoice.com/hs/)and announcement of scriptwriting competition, as well as the demonstration of CG software, Cinema 4D.

‘Enthusiasm’ would be the best term to describe the festival this year at Limkokwing University. This refers to student audiences
