◆Press Conference & Reception Party
June 3 at 5:30 p.m. we kicked off the festival at La Foret with a press conference and special screening, followed by a reception party that began that same evening around 9:00. More than 350 people gathered at La Foret including representatives from our sponsor companies, and supporters. We also were fortunate to have a wide range of media and cultural figures on hand to get a sneak peek at our short films. It was quite a party!
We screened some of George Lucas' student films and the Kodak Award winner at this year's festival, a film called "Puppies for Sale", starring Jack Lemmon. Many tears were shed during the screening of "Puppies", and many laughs were heard during the screening of a special short by soccer superstar Hidetoshi Nakata.
Please click for comments from well known Japanese personalities about the party and short films.
