SHORT SHORTS FILM FESTIVAL & ASIA 2020 AWARD CEREMONY LIVE

The Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia (SSFF & ASIA), recognized by the Academy Awards® and Asia’s biggest international short film festival, will have its Award Ceremony at Meiji Jingu Kaikan Hall on Sunday, 09/27.
The 22nd edition of the festival was postponed this year for the first time in its history. We decided to go on with the festival with our strong desire to have everyone enjoy the entertainment provided by short films in this age of the Coronavirus.
This year we screened the carefully selected over 150 short films for online screening & over 200 shorts at the venues from the films that were submitted from 112 countries & regions. At the Award Ceremony we will announce the winners of the Official Competitions supported by Sony & the winner of the Non-Fiction Competition. The 4 winning shorts will eligible for nomination at the Academy Awards® the following year. In addition, 10 awards in all including the Cinematic Tokyo Competition, the U-25 Project & the CG Animation Competition among others, will be announced & awarded to the winning filmmakers.
Special guests at the Award Ceremony will include the Official Competition jurors; Motoya Izumi, Mariko Tsutsui, Kamiko Inuyama & Koji Fukada, Governor of Tokyo, Yuriko Koike for the Cinematic Tokyo Competition award. Sara Ogawa for the Hikari TV Awards, EXILE HIRO, Alan Shirahama, Ryōta Katayose, Ryuto Kzauhara, Hayato Komori, Reo Sano, Mendy Sekiguchi, Yuuta Nakatsuka.
These stars from different areas of fame will gather to bring excitement & support to the celebrations.
