On June 7, the “Family Creative Festival” was held at LIFORK HARAJUKU. The event offered creative experiences that went beyond simply watching movies with families, providing opportunities to experience feelings and ideas.

■ Kids Program Screenings

A diverse collection of works from around the world, expressed through colorful animations that showcase different creative approaches, were screened free of charge. The program mainly featured non-dialogue films, making it accessible and enjoyable for preschool children as well.

■ Workshop

Movie Poster Workshop

Participants collaborated to create posters that convey the appeal of films. The completed works were presented on the spot, and we were amazed by the children’s expressive abilities.

Scenario Writing Workshop

Participants created original stories using movie characters, children challenged themselves to craft narratives while imagining the personalities and preferences of protagonists. From writing dialogue to presenting their work, the participants engaged enthusiastically, thinking deeply about their characters’ emotions!

Video Editing Workshop

In the video editing workshop, many participants experienced the joy of video editing through iPad operations. Using animated educational materials, the content was designed so that even beginners could participate with confidence.

■ Playing Area

With GraviTrax, visitors could experience creating original courses that guide balls to goals using gravity, magnetism, and momentum, while RODY offered fun play that develops balance skills. This free play area, where children of various ages and families with siblings could enjoy together, was popular.

This event proposed a new way to enjoy film festivals—not just “watching” movies but “expressing what you feel.” It provided a truly meaningful space where visitors could witness firsthand the richness of children’s creativity and expressive power!
