The visual creator support project "Kodansha Cinema Creators Lab" started calling out for pitches in August 2022 with the slogan, "I'll give you 10 million yen, so why don't you make a short film?" For this first edition, we received 1,103 proposals (Japan: 903 / Overseas: 200) during the four months until November. These submissions were narrowed down to 24 pitches through document screening as announced on the previous page.
Kodansha Cinema Creators Lab Committee conducted first interviews with 24 creators who passed the document screening. As a result of the interview, we have decided to advance 12 submissions to the second round. We now announce the selected submissions.
