Kodansha Cinema Creators’ Lab, a video creator support project began accepting pitch submissions in August 2023. For the second edition, we received 1,126 pitch submissions (Japan: 885/Overseas: 241) during the four-month syubmission period ending November 30th. The submissions exceeding last year's totals, and we previously announced that the submissions were narrowed down to 29 projects (Japan:25/Overseas: 4).
Since then, we conducted first-stage interviews with 25 applicants (for 29 pitches) who passed the document screening. As a result of the interviews, 10 submissions will now proceed to the second-stage interviews. The names and project titles are as follows: (Some of them are only in Japanese kanji.)

After further interviews with those who passed the first interview, we plan to announce the three winning pitches by early April.
In addition, "Kodansha Cinema Creators’ Lab" will again call out for submissions for the 3rd edition beginning in August this year.
