Hiroyuki Nakano/17:00/Peace/ Japan/2005
Based on the theme “valuable ≠ cherished,” the story is a subtle depiction of the coming-of-age of a girl named Haru and the interpersonal relationships that develop around the glass as it is thrown away on several occasions.
Hiroyuki Nakano / Hiroyuki Nakano, recognized for his work in music videos, peaceful imagery. Born in Hiroshima prefecture in 1958, he established Tyrell Corporation after working for a TV company for 5 years.  While Nakano continues to make music videos, he also shows his video-based artwork internationally in various countries including Brazil and France . Since he established Peacedelic in 1993 he has been completely absorbed in searching for images that will somehow make his audience feel pleasant. Nakano received several awards for “SF Samurai Fiction” (1998), his first theatrical film. He further established his reputation as a great filmmaker with subsequent films including “SF Stereo Future”, “Red Shadow”, “SF Short Films” and many others. Hiroyuki continues to work as a director in various media: films, music videos, commercials, natural imagery, and art.

La Belle Dame Sans Merci

Hidetoshi Oneda/15:00/Fantasy/Japan・USA/2005
Based on the John Keats poem, “La Belle Dame Sans Merci” tells the story of a Knight who falls in love with a mysterious Lady, but ultimately fails when he is horrified by her true form.
Hidetoshi Oneda / After graduating from the Art Center College of Design in California , he joined Japanese advertising giant Dentsu Inc. in 1992. After winning the Grand Prix at the Mainichi Advertising Design Awards, he was encouraged to work on television commercials. He directed commercial films for “bB” (TOYOTA), “Cal-King” (Coca-Cola Japan), etc.  After serving as a jury member for the Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival in 2001, he left Dentsu to focus on directing non-commercial films.

Ichiro Okuma/4:00/Comedy/ Japan/2005
A dream comes true!
Ichiro Okuma / (Agency: Watanabe Entertainment Co. Ltd.)Born on January 22, 1975 in Nagasaki Prefecture , Okuma established the short film production team “Defrosters” in 2004.  As team leader, he has worked as the director and script writer, producing about 30 films in two years.  He has also appeared in television dramas and stage productions.  Okuma’s annual one-man play has been received well. He has secret intensions of making a feature film in the future.  His personal motto is “All dreams will come true!”

SWAN LAKE

Kenshow Onodera/16:10/Drama/ Japan/2005
There is a legend that the departed human soul changes into a migratory bird and returns to swan lake. What awaits hit man Kanzaki and his pregnant wife Saeko, who senses her life is drawing close to the end?
Kenshow Onodera / Kenshow Onodera was born in Fukui prefecture in 1980. He began making independent movies at the age of 16 and learned filmmaking in the Visual Concept Planning Department at Osaka University of Arts.  Afterwards, he established KENFILARTS PRODUCTION and became their representative.  His works have shown at more than 20 film festivals domestically and internationally and have been awarded many prizes including a Grand Prix.  He is currently vigorously working on directing an independent movie, web-commercials, and enterprise PVs.   He also appears in many films as an actor.

Flowergirl

Cate Shortland/19:00/Drama/Australia・Japan/1999
During his last despondent days on Australia's Bondi Beach , Daisuke, smitten with his indifferent flatmate Hana, tries to capture his last moments with her on his digital handicam.
Cate Shortland /Cate Shortland studied at Sydney University and graduated with a BA in Fine Arts in 1991. In 2000 she graduated from the Australian Film Television and Radio School with a Graduate Diploma in Directing. Cate has written and directed four multi-award winning short films; “Flowergirl” won the Dendy Award at the Sydney Film Festival in 2000 and Oberhausen’s 16mm Best Film. Recently she directed episodes of the TV dramas “The Secret Life of Us” and “The Silence”.
