Hey everyone. It's hot here in Tokyo, temperature & other-wise! The Asia International & Japan Program A drew a big crowd. The opening short titled "Yukkina" is a Canon EOS MOVIE film using the excellent Canon "X series" camera equipment kindly provided by Canon. Director Seiki Watanabe, who took part in the Q&A had the task of transforming Japanese pop idol Yukina Kinoshita into an actress in her debut role. He & she pulled it off in excellent fashion. The audience asked pointed questions about his use of color and shading to reference the different time periods in the story-line. Well done!! Director Seiichiro Omori of "Possible World" was asked what kind of software he used for his other-wordly CG/animation short. pointed & technical Q's are a norm for us here at the coolest film festival in the world!!
