War and conflict troubles many people’s lives here today. For them, war is present and it takes their lives, their loved ones, their valuables, and changes their daily lives every day. Although we are in a different place or born in a different country, we still have the same purpose to live. Regardless of where we live, we gather around the table with our families and friends, and spend valuable time with our lovers.
Through this program we would like to introduce people with various backgrounds and share their lives and emotions to spread the importance of giving a hand to people around you, and realize how wonderful and grateful we are to live in peace. Let’s share the Japanese way of caring and making peace to support everyone's “Power to Live”.
Award Winning Shorts Program 1
Selected short films which won awards at SSFF & ASIA 2018. "Award Program 1" introduces 6 works including the winner of the Best Short Award in the International Competition.
Award Winning Shorts Program 2
Selected short films which won awards at SSFF & ASIA 2018. "Award Program 2" introduces 5 works including the recipient of the George Lucas Award (Grand Prix).
Award Winning Shorts Program 3
Selected short films which won awards at SSFF & ASIA 2018. "Award Program 3" introduces 6 works including the winners of the Best Short Award in the Japan Competition, as well as the newly established Non-Fiction Competition and Student Film Competition.
KIDS Program
A program featuring short films suitable for children under 6 years old. Centered on non-dialogue works, this is a program that will draw both adults and children in. You are sure to be left with lots to talk about with your child after watching.
