A little girl in Tehran, Iran, lives with her mother and her dog. She discovers that her neighbors are killing sheep. Her mother explains that the animals are being sacrificed in a traditional ritual where their meat is cooked and distributed among people. Rose considers it foolish to follow this old tradition in modern life.

Hadi Babaeifar
Hadi Babaeifar, born in Tehran in 1983, discovered his passion for cinema at 20. He studied film criticism and acting at the Karnameh Institute. His debut short film Deer premiered at Berlinale 2022 as the first in his animal trilogy. Sheep, the second film, premiered at Berlinale 2024.
