Japan Hot Shots

This was a repeat of the earlier Hot Shots program, only this time there was an additional special guest, SSFF Executive Director Tetsuya Bessho, who is himself, a well-known actor in Japan. Our Tokyo office head Seigo Tono sat with Bessho after the films screened, and they discussed short films. "It would be great to see more short films come out of the Kansai (western Japan) area, to see a boom in the creativity from here," Bessho said. Indeed.

Bye Bye Osaka!

The festival's tour through Osaka ended on a high note. Even though the festival took place on weekdays, and the rain just never seemed to go away, over 3,500 people attended the festival. Way to go!
