Diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia, Akiko Shirasaki signed a hospital document stating that she would possibly die within a week. She goes though a remission after a long hospitalization. Her husband Seiji worries about recurrence, but Akiko has started helping other patients in the hospital with anxiety.

Yuichiro Yamada
Yuichiro Yamada is a filmmaker based in Hokkaido. He studied documentary filmmaking at the State University of New York Graduate School. He was awarded the Filmmaker of the Year in the Yahoo! News Expert Documentary Division in 2021 and the Docs for SDGs Award at Tokyo Docs in 2022.
