SSFF & ASIA 2025 Screening in Autumn Online Grand Theater NFT Audience Choice Results Are In! Kim Nam-gil’s “How to Open the Door” Tops the Rankings

SSFF & ASIA 2025 Screening in Autumn, held from October 22 to November 10, 2025, introduced a first-ever initiative: NFT Audience Choice in the Online Grand Theater. From approximately 50 films, the festival has now announced the title that received the highest number of votes.
The short film How to Open the Door (directed by Park Ji-wan & Joan Hui Ji-yey), produced by and starring Korean star Kim Nam-gil—widely known for his acclaimed drama The Fiery Priest and numerous other film and TV works—won the top spot, taking first place in the voting.

In addition, SSFF & ASIA has released a highlight movie looking back on the SSFF ＆ ASIA 2025 Screening in Autumn!
The festival featured a special screening program bringing together the SSFF & ASIA 2025 Grand Prix winner, a prospective contender for the next Academy Awards®, along with all award-winning films from each competition category. It also presented a non-stop lineup of curated shorts themed around art and AI.
Other highlights included the world premiere event of a short film starring Yuka Sugai, as well as numerous international guests joining Q&A sessions and an international conference on AI and filmmaking.
