KODANSHA CREATORS’ LAB – Announcement of the 2nd Award-winning Pitches
Kodansha Cinema Creators’ Lab, a visual creator support project that began accepting pitch submissions in August 2023. We are announcing the winners for this second edition; out of a total 1,126 submissions, (885 Japan / 241 overseas), 3 projects (2 from Japan and 1 from overseas) were selected after document screening and multiple interviews.

Kodansha Cinema Creators’ Lab will award a prize of 10 million yen for each winning project and will begin production on the short films with completion due by the end of 2024.
In addition, we will introduce the award winners as well as the winning pitches at the Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia (SSFF & ASIA) 2024 Opening Ceremony to be held in June this year.
We will begin accepting pitch submissions for the third edition on August 1st this year as well.
