Amidst a flurry of press, some of Matsumoto's famous citizens and a lot of film fans, the city of Matsumoto officially welcomed the Short Shorts Film Festival at a party at the famous M Wing Hall. Mr. Yagasaki, Executive Director of the festival in Matsumoto welcomed all guests and including the city's mayor. SSFF Executive Director Tetsuya Bessho was unable to attend, but sent his greetings to the crowd via video message. |

At a quarter past eight o'clock, Tomoyuki Furuyama, director of "Mabuchi," and Takashi Yamazaki, director of "Reterner"
announced that this year Matsumoto's festival would host a special talk session, aptly named "Cinema Talk Session." |
