Directors: Itai Raziel - "Wedlock" Alexei Gubenco "Great Expectations" Lars P Arendt "Beast" Itai told us that the story, and I'm NOT going to give it away other than to say it's got a very bittersweet & romantic ending, was based on something that happened to him & this was his way of expressing the pain in his heart. Alexei's up-lifting anime about a handkerchief that wouldn't give up on it's dreams revealed that he actually had a different "character" in mind at first but as he was preparing the movie he came upon the idea of using a handkerchief for its delicate and silky characteristics. His short deals with the painful & difficult subject of domestic violence and the need for a depiction of it that would have as much terrifying power as the actual act which, in this case, is perpetrated by the father. Very very powerful.
