Welcome Home — REIZOUKO

A boy vanishes from his home, leaving his mother with only the sound of running water. When household appliances begin disappearing too, she sees a fragile possibility: perhaps they are going wherever her son has gone. She begins leaving messages on them—small reminders to eat well, stay warm, and take care of himself.
In a distant, ruined future, a young traveler and his android companion search for a way home among the remnants of a lost world. As ordinary objects carry a mother’s words across time, a quiet bond endures between a kitchen left empty and a life still moving forward.
A tender science-fiction short about separation, persistence, and the extraordinary weight of an everyday greeting: “Welcome home.”
