Jurors Comment - STOP! Global Warming Competition

It was enjoyable to see the different methods used to express the idea of global warming. Film makers employed a variety of methods and genres to illustrate their points. We can't say what others associate with the concept of global warming, but it isn't a stretch to say that there are many different problems included within this singular issue. One of the selection portrayed very well beautiful landscapes that are contained within our world, which is gradually falling apart. All film are really great and work well as a warning to all those watching in the audience. But the film we selected as the winner particularly stood out to us on the jury as really driving home the point that global warming is not just other people's problem and to really deal with the issue we need to realize it is also a personal problem we all need to face. We thought it would be great for this theme to be carried forward through future festivals. We were pleasantly surprised by all the films in this category.
