Takumi Koyama

[Profile]
He began his career as a video director in Los Angeles. Working initially as a local street-style videographer in LA, he created music videos, dance videos, and surf videos, while also contributing behind-the-scenes footage for Hollywood B-horror films. Later, drawn to the possibilities of CG, he joined the direction team for the cinematic sequences of Resident Evil 5 and 6. From motion capture through animation production, he contributed to numerous major game cinematics. After returning to Japan, he moved back into live-action production and has been active as a director of commercials and music videos, bringing an international sensibility shaped by his experience in LA. His directing credits include work for JRA (“Hero is coming”), Google (“Straight Talk” series), Sakurazaka46, and LDH. In recent years he has also expanded into story-driven work, including drama and documentary projects.
