A Ceremony to Kick Off the Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia 2026
The opening ceremony and red carpet of the film festival will be held at MoN Takanawa: The Museum of Narratives, newly opened this year in TAKANAWA GATEWAY CITY. Distinguished guests will include festival president Tetsuya Bessho, festival ambassador LiLiCo, festival navigators (Cho-Judai) Hina Nagahama and Ayaka Hommo, as well as MCs Yuki Matsumaru and Hasen Kuniyama. Other notable attendees include director Hirokazu Kore-eda (TAKANAWA GATEWAY CITY AWARD), Aoi Morikawa, Oshiro Maeda, and Nao Takahashi, among many other prominent guests. The event will feature announcements of the Global Spotlight Award and other special prizes, presentations of short film projects, and an introduction to this year’s festival lineup. *The event and film details may change.Event
