On Easter Sunday in Kyiv, two enlistment officers drive through streets, watching men who might be called to serve. Their search leads them to a young man who has stepped out to buy food for his cat. He may try to avoid their gaze, but on this day, nothing is as simple as it appears.

Mykola Zasieiev
Mykola Zasieiev (b. 1994, Ukraine) is a filmmaker and screenwriter. He graduated in Filmmaking from Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts in 2017. His films screen internationally. His narrative debut Phase (2021) premiered at Molodist IFF, later screening at Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia (Tokyo, 2022), earning a Golden Dzyga nomination.
