My documentary is uniquely striking due to my grandma's stark resolve in killing herself, before then discovering she was terminally ill during filming. She had always planned to die before the age of 86. The intimate, candid discussions between family members are deeply resonating; the journey we all share is both haunting yet alluring. It has helped me accept the inevitability of life's volatile changes. The film also raises important moral questions surrounding assisted dying, which is an important contemporary topic undergoing much scrutiny and debate in the UK and around the world.
