[Kodansha Cinema Creators Lab] Award-winning Pitches – Selected!
“How would you like to make a short film with a budget of ¥10,000,000?!”
Kodansha Cinema Creators Lab kicked off in August, 2022 as a support project for film creators.
Out of a total of 1,103 pitches (Japan: 903 / Overseas: 200) and after document screenings, multiple interviews, a total of 4 projects (Japan: 2 / Overseas: 2) were selected for the main award. In addition, we are pleased to announce that 1 special mention award project from Japan has been selected.

■Special Mention
Sorao Sakimura『Warmth in the Mud』
The four winners will receive 10,000,000 yen each to be used for production of the short films. The films are already in production in order to deliver the finished film by the end of this year. We will give the Special Mention Award prize of 2,000,000 yen to Mr. Sorao Sakimura.
The winners and details of the project will be formally announced at the Award Ceremony of the Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia (SSFF & ASIA) 2023 which will be held in June.
