The most attractive point of Jacaré is its poetic and abstract approach to a very recognizable everyday reality. The film is built around a poignant iron: Pedro is a teenager who spends his summer selling drinks to drivers stuck in traffic on their way to the beach but he doesn't remember to actually seen the sea himself. What begins as a routine day gradually turns into a small but powerful journey when Pedro decides to hide in the back of a car in hopes of finally encountering the ocean, transforming an ordinary landscape into a story about curiosity, desire, and discovery. By blending this observational gaze with a poetic tone, Jacaré invites audiences to look again at a familiar scene and discover new layers of meaning within it.
