Christine Seow is a Singaporean filmmaker and alumni of the National Film and Television School. Her short films Two Travelling Aunties (2025) was nominated for the prestigious IDA Documentary Award and Beyond These Walls (2024) for a Grierson Award. She is drawn to stories that explore identity and belonging.

At its heart, the film is about real people you don’t often see on screen; older, queer Asian women living boldly and on their own terms. That visibility feels important. There’s also a warmth and honesty to Norah and Susie that draws people in almost instantly.
