"I am drawn to attempts to show how an individual's living conditions alter their imagination, and how the imagination, in turn, manages to subvert these representations. This very intimate film features a young woman, trapped in this setting, going around in circles, as if stuck outside of the world. She is searching for comfort, for someone to talk to, but despite the intercoms, the families she hears bustling about, no one seems available to her. In this film, I wanted to superimpose the imaginary and reality as two homogeneous elements, which act upon each other and reciprocally, to explore this dialectics of the visible and the invisible. I am committed to the idea of documentary cinema that refuses to remain detached from its subjects and does not hesitate to give form to their imagined representations, their obsessive beliefs, and their repressed memories. The camera then becomes a magic lantern that projects onto the walls a fictional world that doubles the real world, giving it meaning." Tohé Commaret
