Our final day included our first live online Q&A & it went of without a hitch! We were hooked up with director Farah Nabulsi in Dubai to talk about her wonderful short, “The Present.” She told the audience about her very good luck in casting her 2 actors. One was a 8-old-year girl, an unprofessional who was perfect for the part, who turned out to be the niece of one of her friends. Farah’s film about human dignity & how it takes the innocence of a child to show us “adults” the stupidity of war & conflict & “following procedures” no matter how wrong or unjust.
