Akiko Izumitani is an award-winning Japanese filmmaker, currently living in Los Angeles. A graduate of the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television, Akiko first earned recognition through her award-winning feature-length documentary, "Silent Shame," exploring Japan's dark history in WWII. Other credits include "The Other Side" (starring James Kyson of Heroes), and "Sukiyaki with Love" (starring Narisa Suzuki).
