Gekidan Hitori made his debut as a comedian in 1993, his unique sense of humor made him a major player on stage and TV. His first novel, Kagehinta ni Saku became a bestseller, selling over a million copies. His second novel Seiten no Hekireki was adapted into a film titled A Bolt from the Blue, directed by Gekidan himself.
