In commemoration of SSFF & ASIA’s anniversary, we have selected 15 cinematic icons (short films by and starring famous directors and actors). Below are 15 icons from all over the world.

Aki Kaurismäki

Aki’s a well-known Finnish director, screenwriter and producer. His film debut was as co-screenwriter and lead actor in "The Liar." His directorial debut was with "Crime and Punishment" in 1983. During the 80’s, Aki made a set of music shorts, his Leningrad Cowboys films among the best of the music video golden age..

Since 1970s, Amir Naderi has been among the most influential figures of New Iranian Cinema. He has served as jury at various festivals including 2012 Venice Film Festival Orizzonti section and 2011 head of jury of Tokyo FILMeX, 2012. Also tutor of the Academic Team of Biennale College – Cinema in Italy 2013.golden age.
